Construction

The Hörmann garage door track system ensures durability and smooth operation. With 2” industrial grade galvanized angle-mounted verticals and horizontals, and a 2LC-6” low headroom clearance as standard, it offers efficient overhead clearance. For flexibility, the 2SC-15” radius is available, and there’s also a 3” track option.

Hinges are designed for peak performance, with single-end 11 gauge graduated galvanized hinges for doors under 12′ wide, and double-end 11 gauge graduated galvanized hinges for doors 12′ wide and over. The 2” nylon 10 ball-bearing commercial rollers ensure smooth and reliable operation. Safety is prioritized with 3” galvanized struts for single and double-wide doors.

The counterbalance includes 10,000 cycle torsion springs and galvanized aircraft cable with an 8-to-1 safety factor. Cast aluminum cable drums and torsion shaft/tube provide stability. Electric operation is recommended for the best performance, but manual push-up is standard.
