CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW
Choose from 3, 2, or 1-layer steel and insulation construction options. Insulation options include 2″ or 1-3/8″ Intellicore® polyurethane, 2″, 1-3/8″, 1-5/16″ polystyrene. Insulated doors have R-values ranging from 4.4 to 18.4. The steel skins are protected with a tough, layered coating system, including hot-dipped galvanization and baked-on primer and top coat. WINDCODE® door reinforcement is available for high wind load applications.

DESIGN OVERVIEW
Select either a flush or grooved steel panel design. Steel surface textures vary by model and paint surface. There are 15 factory finish options, including Ultra-Grain®, Lustra™, and Ultra-Grain Plank wood-look finishes. Numerous glass and window size options are available, including insulated, frosted, slim, long, and short designs. Optional window grilles are removable for easy cleaning.

These doors proudly comply with environmental laws and regulations, showing a commitment to responsible manufacturing practices. Notably, they are free from Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), contributing to their eco-friendly design. They meet the requirements set by various legislations, including:

Construction

Modern Steel™ garage doors offer a range of construction options: 3-layer, 2-layer, and 1-layer. You can choose from various insulation options with different R-values from 4.4 to 18.4: 2″ or 1-3/8″ Intellicore® polyurethane, 2″ or 1-3/8″ polystyrene, and 1-5/16″ vinyl-backed polystyrene.

These doors come with practical features such as a replaceable vinyl bottom weather seal in a rust-free aluminum retainer for protection against the elements. Additionally, window grilles are removable for easy cleaning, and the Safe-T-Bracket® prevents serious injuries that could occur when removing the bottom bracket with the garage door closed and under tension. The Rust-Prevention System ensures the steel skins are well-protected through a robust, layered coating system, including a hot-dipped galvanized layer, a protective metal oxide pre-treatment, and a baked-on primer and top coat.

Product complies with 2015 IECC air infiltration requirement of 0.40 cfm/ft2 or less (IECC, Section C402.5.2)
